Balloon FAQs
What is Ballon Oomf gel?
Balloon Oomf gel or Hi-Float gel, is a substance used inside latex balloons to extend their float time. It creates a barrier on the interior surface of the balloon, slowing helium escape and keeping them floating longer than untreated balloons.

Please note that balloons may lose vibrancy or become dull over time. It is normal for the vinyl messages to gradually become loose as the balloon slowly deflates. Float time is an approximation and can be affected by extreme temperature changes, outdoor weather conditions, and the contents inside and outside of the balloons. We are not liable for any underperformance.
How can I care for my balloons to keep them looking great and lasting longer?
-
Temperature: Keep balloons away from extreme temperatures.
-
Inflation: Under inflate slightly to prevent popping and extend lifespan. Avoid both over-inflation and excessive under-inflation for optimal performance.
-
Storage: Store balloons in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and sharp objects.
-
Handling: Handle balloons gently to prevent popping or damage, especially when placing them in a car—ensure there are no sharp objects around.
-
Indoor Use: Balloons typically last longer indoors and maintain better colour and float time.
-
Outdoor Use: Balloons have a shorter lifespan outdoors; protect them from weather conditions.
What are the safety guidelines for handling balloons?
-
Do not inhale helium.
-
Always supervise children with balloons to prevent choking hazards.
-
Dispose of balloons properly after use.
-
Avoid releasing them into the air to safeguard the environment.

How should I handle balloons?
When handling balloons, it is important to avoid sharp objects, rough surfaces, extreme temperature changes, direct sunlight, heat sources, and breezy spots. Always handle balloons with care and avoid squeezing or poking them.

Can I refill or reuse the balloons?
Both latex and foil balloons can be refilled or reused if they are in good condition and undamaged. However, it's essential to note that repeated inflation and deflation can weaken the material, affecting the balloon's appearance and ability to hold helium or air.
Can I release balloons into the environment?
We strongly discourage balloon releases due to their potential negative impact on the environment and wildlife.

Are balloons a choking hazard?
Yes, uninflated or broken balloons can pose a choking hazard, particularly for small children.
